On July 21, EA published an update to The Sims 4's policy regarding modding and content creation. Not only that, but it also states that there will be a “few more surprises” in-store. Although we are not quite sure yet what this means exactly, many have speculated that this may link with the celebration theme, whereas others have said they think it may be separate from that and focus more on community or international themes. The roadmap also mentions “free global food items to bring sims together” and “two vibrant kits that celebrate fierce design”. The Sims official Twitter account used the hashtag “SimthingtoCelebrate” alongside the details of the roadmap and used many symbols in the background which alluded to this – such as confetti and wedding rings. The teaser from January the 5th has led to much speculation amongst players about what is to come, and many have already theorised that there may be a wedding pack on the way. EAs recently gone-free-to-play The Sims 4 is getting two new decor-themed bits of DLC, with the Pastel Pop Kit and Everyday Clutter Kit both due to arrive next Thursday, 10th November. Other exciting new activities include designing and attending prom, proposing to dates with signs, as well as becoming a “Simfluencer” that can sell outfits and designs. You can even pull pranks on your high school friends. There are new actions to use, like sitting cross-legged on your bed. You will be able to explore your identity more than ever before, including growing and grooming body hair. You’ll be able to attend classes, eat lunch in the cafeteria, take exams, play sports, go to school-related events, and decorate your bedroom with high school-inspired decor. This expansion will allow simulation fans to explore their teen years, whether it’s participating in extracurricular activities or forming new friendships with fellow high school teens.
